Sketchbooks!

Sketchbooks are an integral part of art classes - 

they serve art students as a point of reference and place for 

idea generation.  In our classes, we use them daily to 

practice skills, collect references, apply creativity and - sketch!

Pen Landscapes

 Advanced Drawing & Painting students apply pen and ink
techniques to create landscape drawings
whose atmosphere creates a tone of emotion in the composition.

Value of Pattern

Advanced Drawing & Painting students create their own pattern and apply it to a self portrait.  

The applied pattern creates necessary value to render the form of the face.

The 2012-2013 school year has started off strong with a great group of talented and focused students enrolled in Art/Craft as well as Intro and Advanced Drawing & Painting.  These students have completed their first projects for the year with a focus on Proportion and Value.  Working in graphite, students have successfully rendered portraits of faces and shoes!
