Credo Design | type, imagery + composition

Design students define their personal CREDO : A statement of beliefs that guide someone's aims or actions,  Along with this, they begin to consider design concepts of composition, imagery and typeface design - how the three can successfully communicate a credo or vision when intentionally produced.  Size, style, placement and symbolism can enhance the meaning of a message - in this project, students designed their own expression of their beliefs in a unique visual format.

Collage Design

Art & Craft students studied collage artists, such as local Denver artist Janice McDonald, and then applied design principles and compositional focus to their own collages.  Students were asked to collect images, textures, patterns and colors to incorporate in a cohesive design with careful detail to composition, balance and unity...all while applying good craftsmanship.
